Oleksandr*, who is forcibly residing in Lviv region, contacted a lawyer from the STEP NGO seeking legal assistance with entering information on ownership rights to a residential house damaged as a result of hostilities into the State Register of Property Rights to Immovable Property (SRPR).
During the consultation, it was established that the title document - the certificate of inheritance - had been lost, which made registration of ownership rights impossible. The lawyer prepared a request to the notarial archive to obtain a duplicate of the document. After confirming the possibility of issuing a duplicate, the lawyer supported the process of obtaining it, as well as the preparation of technical documentation for the house. Based on the collected documents, information on the ownership right was entered into the SRPR.
As a result, Oleksandr obtained the opportunity to submit documents to receive compensation for the damaged housing under the eVidnovlennia (eRecovery) program.
