To legally employ foreigners and stateless persons in Ukraine, employers must obtain a work permit. Here is an overview of the processes for obtaining, amending, extending, and canceling the permit:

1. Obtaining a Work Permit

Who Submits: The employer or an authorized representative.
Where to Apply: Regional or Kyiv city employment centers at the employer's location.
Required Documents:
Application form.
Copies of the foreigner’s passport pages with personal data, translated into Ukrainian and certified.
A color photo (3.5 x 4.5 cm).
Draft employment contract with the foreigner, certified by the employer.
Processing Time: Up to 7 working days from submission.
Cost: The administrative fee depends on the permit's validity period and is calculated based on the subsistence minimum for able-bodied persons as of January 1 of the respective year.

2. Amending the Permit

Reasons for Amendments:
Change of the employer's name.
Change in the foreigner’s position.
Other changes affecting the permit conditions.
Procedure:
The employer submits an amendment application.
Supporting documents for the changes are attached.
Processing Time: Up to 7 working days.

3. Extending the Permit

When to Submit: No later than 20 days and no earlier than 50 calendar days before the permit expires.
Required Documents:
Application for extension.
A color photo of the foreigner (3.5 x 4.5 cm).
Supporting documents for changes (if applicable).
Processing Time: Up to 7 working days.
Cost: The administrative fee is based on the extension period and calculated according to the current subsistence minimum.
