Is it possible to obtain IDP status if a person has lost his/her passport?

Yes, persons who have lost their passports can still obtain the status of an internally displaced person (IDP). Starting from 07.08.2022, if you have a certificate from the State Migration Service of Ukraine (SMS) confirming the submission of documents for a new passport, you can be registered as an IDP. The certificate can be obtained at administrative service centers, territorial bodies or subdivisions of the SMS, as well as at state-owned enterprises that are under the management of the SMS.

In addition, digital documents such as eDocument can be used to apply for payments and other procedures related to IDP status through the Diia app.
