With which documents for an animal can you return to Ukraine?

Required documents:

1. A veterinary passport of the European standard or a certificate of animal health confirming the state of health of the animal:

  • Satisfactory health condition of the animal.
  • Absence of diseases that pose a threat.

2. Certificate of rabies vaccination:

  • The vaccination must have been administered no less than 30 days and no more than 12 months prior to entry.

3. A document on the chipping of the animal:

  • The chip must comply with the international standards ISO 11784 or ISO 11785.
  • Information about the chip must be included in the veterinary passport or certificate.

In the absence of documents:

  • The owner can obtain the necessary documents at a licensed veterinary clinic abroad that is authorized to issue international veterinary certificates.
  • Upon returning to Ukraine, you should contact the state veterinary service to check the animal's health status and enter the data into the national database.
