How to get compensation for a destroyed home if it belongs to several co-owners?

If the destroyed housing is jointly owned, the following procedure applies:

1. Submitting an application:

  • Each of the co-owners can apply for compensation separately.
  • One of the co-owners may submit an application on behalf of all co-owners, provided that the other co-owners have given their consent.

2. Confirmation of consent:

  • The consent of the other co-owners to submit an application on their behalf must be:
  • notarized; or
  • confirmed through the Diia portal.

3. Distribution of compensation:

The amount of compensation is determined in proportion to the share of each co-owner in the ownership of the real estate.

Each co-owner receives compensation in accordance with their share.

Important: All co-owners must ensure that the information about their shares in the state real estate register is up-to-date before submitting an application.
