What are the requirements and procedures for bringing a pet to and staying in Austria?

Share

Since Austria is a member state of the European Union, the owner of a pet must have an international veterinary passport to enter its territory. Also, the pet must be microchipped.

For the legal stay of a pet in Austria, you need to register it in the Pet Database. This can be done either at the vet or online on the website.

The list of veterinarians in Austria is available at the link.
