Key age requirements for adopters:

1. Minimum age of the adopter:

• The adopter must be at least 21 years old, unless the adopter is a relative of the child.

2. Age difference between the adopter and the child:

• The adopter must be at least 15 years older than the child they wish to adopt.

3. Adoption of an adult:

• In cases of adult adoption, the age difference between the adopter and the adopted person must be at least 18 years.
