What are the conditions for retirement in Ukraine?
Retirement conditions in Ukraine depend on the type of pension and individual circumstances. The main types of pensions and the conditions for their appointment:
● After reaching the age of 60 with at least 30 years of insurance experience.
● After reaching the age of 63 with at least 20 years of insurance experience.
● After reaching the age of 65 with at least 15 years of insurance experience.
● It is assigned based on the conclusion of a medical and social examination, which determines the cause, disability group and validity period.
● It is granted to disabled family members of the deceased who were dependent on him or her. Children receive this pension regardless of dependency.
● It is granted to persons who worked in conditions that cause loss of professional ability to work before reaching retirement age.
Pensions on preferential terms and early retirement (before retirement age):
● On preferential terms: for people who worked in hazardous industries or have a special status, for example, combatants.
● Early retirement: to persons with a special status, in particular, combatants, persons with disabilities as a result of war, family members of deceased defenders of Ukraine; mothers of many children and mothers of children with disabilities since childhood or seriously ill children; citizens who, at the time of dismissal due to a reduction in the number or staff or for health reasons, have no more than one and a half years left until reaching retirement age.
● With a reduction in the retirement age: for participants in the liquidation of the Chornobyl accident.
Important: A person has the right to choose the type of pension if he or she is entitled to more than one type of pension.
