War participants receive free medicines and dental prosthetics; sanatorium and spa treatment; continued service in polyclinics and hospitals after retirement; annual medical examinations; priority service in medical institutions; an increase in pensions or social assistance (15% of the subsistence minimum for recipients of medals/orders and 10% for others); a 50% discount on rent, utilities and fuel; priority provision of housing; preferential allocation of land plots; housing repairs; preferential housing/repair loans; payment of sick leave at 100%; annual and additional unpaid leave; and state support for education for themselves and their children etc.
