What documents are required for crossing the UK state border, in particular for Ukrainian citizens, and what procedures are applied in case of loss or expiration of a passport/foreign passport while staying in the UK?

Documents needed for crossing the UK state border:

o  Entry visa – a mandatory document, without which you/your family member will not be able to enter the territory of the United Kingdom;

o  biometric passport.

If you do not have a biometric passport, you can enter the country on the basis of a visa issued under the programme for assistance to families from Ukraine or under the Ukrainian sponsorship scheme ("Homes For Ukraine").

If a child under the age of 16 does not have a passport, the child's information may be entered in the passport of the parent or legal guardian.

You can bring most personal belongings into the UK without needing to obtain separate permission.

Loss of documents:

If you have lost your passport/foreign passport during your stay in the United Kingdom or if the validity of such documents has expired, you can restore the lost documents or extend their validity at the Embassy of Ukraine in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (Consular Section) or at the Consulate of Ukraine in Edinburgh. The list of documents required in case of loss of a passport can be found here: https://uk.mfa.gov.ua/vtrata-pasportu
