What is the liability for not being registered for military service?

According to Ukrainian law, not registering for military service can lead to administrative and criminal responsibility.

Administrative responsibility:

  • Fines: If someone doesn't follow the rules for military registration, including not registering, they can be fined. During martial law, the fines are higher:
  • For citizens: from 17,000 to 25,500 UAH.
  • For officials: from 34,000 to 51,000 UAH.

Criminal responsibility:

  • Imprisonment: If a person avoids military registration after being officially warned, they can face criminal charges and be sent to prison for 3 to 5 years.
