What is the difference between withdrawal and exemption from military registration?

Deregistration from the military register:

  • This is the process of changing the place of registration at the territorial recruitment and social support centre.
  • The person remains in the status of a person liable for military service, conscript or reservist.
  • Deregistration implies registration in another place, but does not exempt from the possibility of mobilisation.

Exclusion from military registration:

  • Means termination of the status of a person liable for military service, conscript or reservist.
  • The person can no longer be mobilised.
  • This category includes:
  • Persons who have reached the age limit for registration (60 years, 65 years for officers).
  • Persons declared unfit for service for health reasons by a military medical commission (MMC).
