How to donate a car for volunteers' needs?

Share

You can transfer a car to volunteers by signing one of two types of agreements:

  1. Deed of Gift.
  2. Donation agreement.
  • A donation allows the donor to control the use of the car in accordance with a specific purpose (for example, for volunteer activities). If the purpose is not fulfilled, the donor has the right to demand termination of the agreement and return of the car.

The procedure for transferring a car:

  1. Contact a notary, as it is not possible to conclude such agreements at the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
  2. Draw up a gift or donation agreement and sign it with a notary.
  3. Sign a car transfer and acceptance certificate.

Taxes and registration:

  • Volunteers registered in the Volunteer Register are exempt from paying tax on income related to volunteer activities.
  • Legal entities that receive a gift or donation and are included in the Register of Non-Profit Organizations are also exempt from taxation.

Further actions of the recipient of the car:

  • Within 10 calendar days after the transfer, the recipient must re-register the car at the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
  • Pay the administrative fee for re-registration.

Note: The ownership of the car is transferred to the recipient from the moment of signing the acceptance certificate.
