How to confirm your place of residence when registering as an IDP if you do not have standard registration documents?

Alternative documents can be used to prove your residence in the territory where hostilities are taking place or which is not controlled by the Ukrainian government. They must be documentary evidence of your residence in the area prior to displacement.

Here is the list of documents that are accepted:

● Military ID card with information about military service.

● Employment record book with records of employment activities that demonstrate work in the disputed territory.

● Documents confirming ownership of real or personal property.

● A document on education indicating that you have studied at an educational institution in this territory.

● Medical documents that may indicate that you received medical care in the territory.

● Photos and videos that clearly demonstrate your presence in the area.

These documents must be submitted to the IDP registration authority. They will help you to officially confirm your previous place of residence and receive appropriate assistance from the state.
