How do I get a social payment when adopting a child?

Documents required to receive assistance:
- Statement of the adopter - if the adopters are spouses, a statement from one of them is sufficient.
- A copy of the child's birth certificate issued by the state civil registry office after amendments have been made on the basis of a court decision on adoption.
- A copy of the court decision on the adoption of the child.
Deadlines for submitting documents: Child adoption assistance is granted provided that the application for its appointment is received no later than 12 months from the date the adoption decision enters into force.
Important to note: The child adoption allowance is provided regardless of the receipt of other types of child benefits.
