How to get a decision of a court that is in the war zone/non-government-controlled area?

Algorithm of actions:

1. Check the location of the court:

  • During the period of martial law, courts located in non-government controlled areas or in the area of hostilities may change their location.
  • Information on the current location of courts can be found:
  • On the official website of the judiciary of Ukraine.
  • In the section on the relocation of courts to the government-controlled territory, follow the relevant links.

2. Applying to the court:

  • Once you have found out the new location of the court, contact the clerk's office or information department to request a copy of the judgement.

3. Submitting a request:

  • Submit a request for a decision in person, by mail or through the Electronic Court System (if you are registered with it).
  • Please attach the following information to your request:
  • Case number.
  • Your personal data (full name, case identifier).
  • Contact details to receive a response.

4. Receiving the decision:

  • A copy of the judgement will be issued in person, sent by post or made available through the Electronic Court (if available).

  • It is recommended to clarify the procedure for applying to a particular court, as it may depend on technical capabilities and the security situation.
