How to get financial assistance from UNHCR in the Republic of Moldova after leaving the territory of Ukraine after February 24, 2022?

If you left the territory of Ukraine on or after February 24, 2022, and are currently in the Republic of Moldova, you can receive financial aid.

The following are entitled to receive such aid:

•      a family with one or more children;

•      incomplete families;

•      a family headed by an older person (over 60);

•      a family with one or more persons with special needs, they include:

–      persons with disabilities;

–      pregnant women;

–      persons with serious diseases;

–      persons in need of legal and physical protection;

–      persons who are LGBT representatives.

To receive financial aid, you need to contact the Registration Center in person and submit an appropriate application in which you specify your personal data and phone number.

Registration centres are open in Moldova in Chisinau, Donduşani, Bielce, Ungheni, Orhei, Kauşani, Cagul, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday. For more information, please follow the link.

After that, a representative will contact you and schedule an appointment at the Registration Center, where your personal data will be requested and registered. If you meet the requirements, you will receive a MAIB bank card that you can use for free for purchases in all stores and for withdrawing cash from ATMs. It is valid only on the territory of Moldova.

The amount of financial aid is 2,200 lei (about UAH 4,500) per month for each individual.
