How to get an electronic prescription for antibiotics under martial law?

Share

To obtain an electronic prescription for antibiotics, you should:

1. Make an appointment with a doctor.

  • It can be a primary care physician (family doctor, general practitioner, pediatrician) or a specialist (dentist, surgeon, etc.).
  • A signed declaration is not a prerequisite.

2. Check whether the facility is connected to the electronic healthcare system (EHR):

  • In connected facilities, the doctor will issue an electronic prescription.
  • If the facility is not connected to the EHR, the doctor will write a paper prescription.

3. Get a prescription for an antibiotic:

  • The doctor creates an electronic prescription in the system and issues an information certificate to the patient.
  • This certificate contains the prescription number and a code for obtaining the medicine at the pharmacy.

4. Purchase the medicine:

  • The antibiotic can be purchased at any pharmacy by presenting the information certificate or prescription.

Important!

  • In the uncontrolled territories of Ukraine during the martial law period, antibiotics may be sold without a prescription.
