How to formalise an employment contract under the simplified regime for regulating labour relations?

Under the simplified regime of labour relations regulation, an employment agreement is concluded in the following manner:

1) Written form of the contract:

  • An employment agreement shall be concluded in writing in the Ukrainian language in two copies, one for each party.
  • With the consent of the parties, the agreement may be concluded in the form of an electronic document using a digital signature.

2) Content of the agreement:

  • The agreement must contain information on working conditions, the presence or absence of hazardous and harmful production factors in the workplace, and the possible consequences of their impact on health.
  • It also sets out the employee's statutory rights to benefits and compensation for working in harmful conditions.

3) Execution by order:

  • After signing the employment contract, the employer issues an order (instruction) to hire the employee.

4) Notification of the State Tax Service:

  • The employer is obliged to submit a notice of hiring an employee to the State Tax Service of Ukraine.

Important: An employee cannot be allowed to work without entering into an employment agreement executed by an order or instruction of the employer and without notifying the STS of the employee's employment.
