How to formalize inheritance in a territory not controlled by the Government of Ukraine?

It is impossible to register an inheritance in a territory not controlled by the Government of Ukraine since notaries are prohibited from performing such notarial actions in this territory. 

In this case, you can apply for registration of the inheritance to any notary in the territory controlled by the Government of Ukraine in person or by sending an application for acceptance of the inheritance by mail (in this case, the signature on the application must be notarized).

Registration of inheritance takes place in the general order.

Attention! To certify the fact of the death of the testator a notary must be provided with a death certificate, issued exclusively by the relevant state authority in Ukraine (Department of State registration of acts of civil status). A death certificate issued by an illegitimate body in a territory not controlled by the Government of Ukraine is not recognized in the territory of Ukraine!
