How to issue documents for a teenager to travel abroad?

For teenagers under 16 years old:

1. Necessary documents for departure:

  • Child's birth certificate (obtained from the Civil Registry Office (DRACS) or the Center for Administrative Services (TSNAP) at the place of residence).

2. Documents of the accompanying adult:

  • Ukrainian passport or another document proving the identity and family relationship with the child.
  • Foreign passport of the accompanying adult.

3. How to obtain documents:

  • The birth certificate can be obtained or re-ordered at the Civil Registry Office (DRACS), TSNAP, or through the "Diia" portal.
  • If the child is accompanied by someone other than the parents, a notarized exit permit from one or both parents is required.

For teenagers from 16 years old:

1. Necessary documents:

  • Ukrainian passport (ID card).
  • Foreign passport.

2 . How to obtain documents:

  • The Ukrainian passport is issued at the TSNAP, State Migration Service (DMS), or through the State Enterprise "Document" at the place of residence.
  • The foreign passport can be obtained at a territorial DMS office or through TSNAP.

3. Additional conditions:

  • Teenagers from 16 years old can travel independently with these documents. No additional permits are required.
