Conditions for crossing the border with the country of Estonia

Share

For entry into the territory of Estonia, Ukrainians are required to have a biometric passport. Visa application is unnecessary, and there are currently no restrictions related to preventing the spread of Covid-19.

However, the Estonian government allows Ukrainians to enter the country without biometric passports only in cases where they are victims of the crisis in Ukraine. For such individuals, it is sufficient to present a valid identity document upon entry into Estonia, such as an ID card, Ukrainian citizen passport, sailor's passport, or refugee travel document.

Important! If a Ukrainian citizen enters Estonia without a valid international passport, it is recommended that they contact the Embassy of Ukraine in Estonia for its issuance.

Children under 16 traveling with their parents must have a birth certificate when crossing the border. Additionally, children under 16 have the right to cross the border with one of the parents (without the official permission of the other parent). If a child is traveling with friends or relatives, they should have a duly notarized written permission for travel from one of the parents.
