Conditions for pet owners in Norway

Pets arriving in Norway from Ukraine must meet the standard requirements established by the EU Regulation:

·       the animal must be identified using a microchip;

·       the animal must have a valid passport of the European model or a health certificate;

·       the animal must be vaccinated against rabies;

·       presence of a test for the titer of antibodies against rabies;

·       the dog must be treated for Echinococcus multilocularis.

When crossing the border, the pet will be examined by a veterinarian who works for the Norwegian Food Safety Authority. If possible, you should notify the Norwegian Food Safety Authority at least 48 hours before your arrival to avoid a long wait:
