A passport/vaccination certificate/chip is not required to enter the country with a pet, although it is always recommended to have these documents with you if possible. In their absence, as well as in the absence of a microchip, you can still enter Latvia and subsequently carry out all the necessary procedures.
If you are traveling with a pet from Ukraine, please contact the nearest veterinarian to arrange a visit as soon as you settle in. The veterinarian will examine, register, chip and vaccinate the animal for free.
