As a rule, when entering any country of the European Union, the owner must have the following documents for a pet
- international veterinary passport;
- a veterinary certificate with a note on rabies vaccination made not earlier than 21 days before crossing the border and not later than 12 months before crossing the border.
However, Ukrainians are allowed to enter France with pets that do not have these documents, but one person cannot bring more than 5 animals to France.
Upon arrival at your destination, you should contact your veterinarian or the Departmental Office for the Protection of the Population of the relevant department as soon as possible in order to obtain documents for your pet, as well as to vaccinate your pet if necessary.
Contacts and addresses of the relevant departments are available here.
