Admission procedure:

- submitting an application for temporary protection status to local migration police office.

The police workers will take your fingerprints and ask for your personal data, passport or other identification documents.

You will receive a receipt (la ricevuta) confirming that you have submitted your application for temporary protection status, which already allows you to enjoy all the rights of temporary protection.

The receipt (la ricevuta) is valid until the decision on granting or refusing to grant a temporary protection residence permit is passed; and

- obtaining a residence permit for temporary protection.

The residence permit officially confirms your temporary protection status. The migration police office will contact you when the residence permit has been successfully issued.

You can track the status of your application here (under the link "il tuo permesso di soggiorno").

The permit is valid for 1 year with the possibility of extension every 6 months (depending on the situation in Ukraine).

Opportunities – the right to housing, medical and social assistance, education and training, and employment.
