Terms for filing an application of registration of death.

1. General deadline:

• An application for state registration of death must be submitted no later than three days from the date of death or discovery of the body.

2. Exceptional circumstances:

• If it is not possible to obtain a medical death certificate or a paramedic death certificate within the first three days, the application must be submitted within five days.

Note: If the deadlines are missed for valid reasons, this does not deprive you of the right to apply to the Civil Registry Office for death registration, but additional supporting documents or a court determination of the fact of death may be required.
