Residents of Ukraine in Latvia can receive the following support:
· one-time assistance in a crisis situation - 343 euros for an adult and 240 euros for a child;
· starting from January 1, 2024, an additional monthly allowance of 137 euros for the first person and 96 euros for each subsequent household member;
· other material support or social services in accordance with the individual needs of the person.

After receiving a certificate of crisis situation from the municipal social service, the civilian population of Ukraine is entitled to the following support: within three months, one person can receive two food packages, a set of hygiene and household goods, two additional baby food packages (if there are young children aged 7 to 24 months) and an additional hygiene package (if there are young children under 2 years old). In addition, families with children of preschool and primary school age can receive a package with school supplies.
During the first three calendar months from the date of submission of the first application, residents of Ukraine can receive social services and social assistance without an assessment of their financial situation.
With this certificate, support packages can be obtained at any of the more than 400 distribution points throughout Latvia. The certificate can be obtained from the municipal social service (see "Support in municipalities").
Residents of Ukraine can receive ready-to-eat meals in free canteens without providing a certificate or other documents. More information about free canteens can be found here.
Ukrainian civilians registered with the Riga Support Center can use public transport in Riga free of charge. Residents of Ukraine can use regional public transport and carry luggage free of charge upon presentation of an identity document.
To get a free ticket, please contact the ticket office, if there is one. In the absence of a ticket office nearby, you are allowed to travel with an identity document, which must be provided to the driver or controller. Free travel does not apply to regional commercial routes (connections), which are marked with a capital letter "K" in the schedule. More detailed information in Ukrainian is available here.

Residents of Ukraine who have registered with the Riga Support Center for Ukrainian Residents can use the capital's public transport free of charge until June 30, 2024, after receiving an electronic travel card. Parking
There are 6 parking zones in Riga: A, B, C, D, R, and V, where the working hours, parking fees, and payment methods may differ. A map with parking zoning is available on the Rigas Satiksme website.
Currently, there are five payment methods for paid parking lots in Riga: prepaid, cash on delivery, by phone, monthly subscription and resident card. Find more information here.
Please note that residents of Ukraine who need to park their car while receiving services at the Riga Residents' Support Center from September 5, 2022, can obtain a special parking pass in office 118 on the ground floor (limited number of spaces).

Residents of Ukraine have the right to visit all state museums in Latvia free of charge. The list of museums is available on the website of the Ministry of Culture.
Books in English, Ukrainian are available in public municipal libraries in Latvia. In libraries, you can use common areas equipped with computers and Internet connection, communicate, and participate in events organized by the library.
