Receiving material assistance.

Citizens of Ukraine who have received temporary protection and have not yet been able to find a job can apply for special cash allowances for people in a crisis.

The first aid of 5,000 CZK will be provided automatically in the first month to all refugees with temporary protection. After that, assistance can be received repeatedly depending on income and social conditions.

In the amount of 5,000 CZK per month, it will be paid repeatedly, up to six times in total.

Starting with the seventh payment, its size changes. The person's income, property and social conditions are analysed again. For holders of temporary protection from the age of 18, the amount of assistance becomes 4,860 CZK (corresponding to the subsistence minimum), and for a child under 18 – 3,490 CZK.

Opening an account in a Czech Republic bank will allow you to speed up the obtaining of payment.

Physical residence in the territory of the Czech Republic is a mandatory condition.

The right to receive assistance does not extend to foreigners who are provided with housing free of charge, including 24-hour food and basic hygiene items.

You can apply for humanitarian aid electronically through the application or at any contact office of the Employment Centre of the Czech Republic, depending on your actual place of residence.

Please note that starting from July 1, 2023, a change in the amount of humanitarian aid is being prepared. During the first 150 days (5 months), assistance will be provided in the amount of the subsistence minimum (4,860 CZK for an adult, 7,290 CZK for a person with a disability, 3,490 CZK for a child, 5,235 CZK for a child with a disability, 4,188 CZK for a child aged from 6 to 10 years), then decreases to the minimum necessary for existence (3,130 CZK for an adult, for other categories - no changes), in cases when the person does not try to provide funds on his own and at the same time there are no objective obstacles to work at labour market (that is, is not a so-called vulnerable person).
