What is the "Green Card" and how to obtain it?

A "Green Card" is an international insurance certificate that:

• Performs the function of compulsory car insurance when traveling abroad.
• Allows crossing the borders of the countries participating in the system, such as Poland, Germany, Hungary, Romania, Czech Republic, Estonia, and others.
• Covers the costs of reimbursement of damages caused to victims of road accidents (property, health, life) in accordance with the laws of the host country.
• It exempts from liability for the absence of civil liability insurance for drivers under the laws of foreign countries.
• The document is required to enter the countries participating in the Green Card system.

How to get it:

1. Through an insurance company:

• Contact an accredited Ukrainian insurance company.

2. At the border:

• Clearance is possible at border crossing points, but the cost is usually higher.

Documents for registration:

• Passport.
• Car registration certificate.

The cost depends on:

• Type of vehicle.
• Duration of insurance (from 15 days to 1 year).
