What can you do in Ukraine from the age of 14?

Share

According to Ukrainian law, children who have reached the age of 14 are eligible:

1. Legal actions:

  • To file lawsuits on their own (e.g., to protect their rights, to deprive them of parental rights).
  • File an application to determine the place of residence with one of the parents.

2. Financial transactions:

  • Enter into bank deposit agreements and manage funds placed on your account.
  • Receive alimony and manage it independently.

3. Access to information:

  • Receive information about your adoption.

4. Labour rights:

  • Work with parental consent during vacations (light work that is not harmful to health and development).

These rights allow the child to partially realize themselves in the social, legal and economic aspects of life, which corresponds to their age.
