What an employee should do if he or she disagrees with the order to suspend the employment contract?

If the employee disagrees with the order to suspend the employment contract, he or she may:

1) Contact the State Labor Service of Ukraine (SLS):

  • File a complaint in person or through a trade union.
  • The SLS will review the complaint and check the validity of the order.
  • If violations are found, the labor inspector may issue an order to eliminate them.

2) Appeal against the order in court:

  • File a lawsuit in court to declare the order illegal.
  • The court will consider the case and decide on the legality of the suspension of the employment contract.
