School education in Hungary: compulsory, choice of school and enrollment

In Hungary, children aged 6 to 16 are required to attend school. Education can take place at both public and private educational establishments.

Important!
Because the school year in Hungary begins on September 1st, it is best to enrol your child early so that they may begin learning on schedule.
