The amount of temporary state aid, which is assigned to a child one of whose parents avoids paying alimony or whose whereabouts are unknown.

Share

Temporary state assistance is granted to a child if one of the parents is evading alimony payments, is unable to support the child, or if the parent's whereabouts are unknown.

The amount of this assistance is calculated as the difference between 100% of the minimum subsistence level for a child of the corresponding age and the average monthly family income per person for the previous six months, but not less than 50% of the minimum subsistence level for a child of the corresponding age.

  • Minimum subsistence level for children in 2024:
  • Children under 6 years old: 2,100 UAH
  • Children aged 6 to 18 years: 2,618 UAH
  • Example of calculation:
  • If the average monthly income per person in the family is 1,000 UAH, and the child is 5 years old:
  • 100% of the minimum subsistence level for a child under 6 years old: 2,100 UAH
  • Difference: 2,100 UAH - 1,000 UAH = 1,100 UAH
  • Since 1,100 UAH is greater than 50% of the minimum subsistence level (1,050 UAH), the assistance amount will be 1,100 UAH.

Note: The amount of assistance is reviewed in the case of changes in the minimum subsistence level or family income.
