Vocational education for adults

Share

Documents issued by Ukraine on vocational (vocational-technical) education and diplomas issued by Hungary on secondary vocational education are recognised as comparable. Individuals who have finished their secondary school have the right to continue their studies in Hungary and receive a higher vocational-technical education diploma.

Bachelor's degrees awarded by Ukrainian higher education institutions, as well as basic level diplomas and diplomas for education received at colleges awarded by Hungarian higher education institutions, are recognised as equivalent and grant holders access to education in Ukraine and Hungary for Master's and Specialist degrees, as well as basic level specialised training programmes in Hungary.

These rules are established in the applicable Agreement on Mutual Recognition of Educational Documents and Scientific Degrees signed by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of Hungary.

If particular qualifications are required for Hungarian work, you can contact the Hungarian Equivalent Information Centre to determine equivalent. For asylum seekers and refugees with Hungarian citizenship, the procedure is free of charge. The technique is described in Hungarian at the URL provided.
