Notify the police immediately:

  • Call 102 and provide information about the discovery of the deceased person.

Actions of the investigating authorities:

  • The National Police conducts an inspection of the scene.
  • The investigator or prosecutor issues a decision to send the body of the deceased for forensic medical examination.

Forensic medical examination:

  • To release a body, you must contact the prosecutor's office and obtain a burial permit.
  • The permit is granted after all necessary investigative actions are completed.

Receiving the body for burial:

  • The body is sent to a forensic medical examination office to determine the cause of death.
  • After the examination, a medical certificate of death is issued.

Note:

In the case of a violent death or suspicion of a criminal nature of the event, investigative actions may continue until all expert examinations are completed.
