  • Juvenile: Persons under the age of 14.
  • Minors: Persons under the age of 18.

Rules for traveling abroad:

1. For minors aged 16 to 18 years:

  • They can travel abroad on their own without the consent of their parents (adoptive parents) or guardians.
  • Required document: Passport of a citizen of Ukraine for traveling abroad.

2. For minors and underage children under the age of 16:

  • Departure is possible if accompanied:
  • Parents or one of them.
  • Other relatives: Grandparents, adult siblings, stepmother or stepfather.
  • Adoptive parents or guardians.
  • Adult persons authorized by parents or guardians (on the basis of a written application certified by the guardianship and custody authority).

Documents required for departure:

  1. Child's passport.
  2. Or the child's birth certificate.

Special conditions during martial law:

  1. The notarized consent of the other parent is not required if a child under 16 years of age is traveling with one parent.
  2. Restrictions for male accompanying persons:
  • Men accompanying children cannot cross the border unless they belong to the categories of persons exempt from military service or mobilization.
