Documents required when applying for a job:

- A biometric passport; 

- Documents proving your legal position in Hungary (temporary protection; refugee status).


It is possible to work in Hungary for 20+ hours per week for a year, with the option of extending for another year.

Language

To work in Hungary, a person must be fluent in at least English. However, learning and knowing Hungarian is desirable. To ease adaptation to the environment and assist in obtaining work, the state provides 520 hours of Hungarian language lessons to all individuals who are applying for or have already received temporary protection in Hungary.
