Ukrainian refugees who have temporary protection in the Czech Republic have the right to register as individual entrepreneurs (Czech - OSVČ, Osoba samostatně výdělečně činná).

In the Czech Republic, a legally capable person over the age of 18 who has no criminal record and no debts to the national tax authorities can do business.

To open an individual entrepreneur in the Czech Republic, you need to have the following:

1. Identity card and residence permit – visa.

2. Address for registration.

3. Confirmation of criminal record absence (testimony under oath, affidavit).

4. 1,000 CZK for the administrative fee.

5. Application for registration.

When registering, you can write an unlimited number of activities simultaneously. And if you want to add new types of activity after registration, an administrative fee of 500 CZK is charged for each subsequent addition of activity type.

Simultaneously registering an individual entrepreneur, it is also necessary to notify the medical and social insurance services. In the Czech Republic, individual entrepreneurs independently pay contributions for medical insurance.

It is worth paying attention to some activities in the Czech Republic that require a license. Qualifications must be confirmed for financial consulting, providing massage services, tourism, manicure services, nannying a child under the age of three, and dozens of other types of professions. An individual who will be engaged in business activities that require a license applies for obtaining one to the relevant business licensing body.

You can register an individual entrepreneur at the Business Licensing Bureau in the local authority (in the Czech Republic - živnostenský úřad).

To terminate the activity of the individual entrepreneur, apply to the Business Licensing Bureau in the local authority (živnostenský úřad).
