Ukrainian citizens who are currently abroad have the right to free medical care.
Emergency and urgent medical care, free psychiatric help, pregnancy testing, and other services are among the free medical services available in Hungary prior to attaining the status of a person in need of temporary protection.
Ukrainians who attain the status of a person in need of temporary protection in Hungary can expect to get free medical treatment for a duration of six months. Medical examinations and screenings, general medicine, and specialised emergency aid are among the services provided.
After the 6-month period, medical insurance (covering all medical expenses) can be obtained through work or monthly payments.
