Access to healthcare facilities

According to Spanish law, temporarily displaced Ukrainian citizens have the same rights to free medical care as Spanish citizens. You must obtain a medical card in order to exercise these rights. To do so, contact the primary medical care center (CAP) in your temporary residence or stay location.

You have to bring the following documents with you: a passport issued to a Ukrainian citizen for travel abroad, or another available document confirming your identity and citizenship.

You will also need to provide CAP with information about your temporary residence; verbal confirmation is sufficient, and there is no need for a prior appointment.

Important!

Obtaining a medical card does not depend on whether you have received temporary protection or not.

After obtaining a medical card, you will be able to make an appointment with a doctor through the GVA + SALUT application, available on Google Play and the App Store.

You can find the CAP nearest to your place of residence at the following link: https://catsalut.gencat.cat/ca/centres-sanitaris/cercador/
