Is it prohibited to travel abroad if there is a court decision to collect debt or there is an opened enforcement proceeding?

Share

A court decision to recover a debt under a loan agreement does not in itself restrict the right to travel abroad.

Peculiarities:

  • A ban on travelling abroad can be imposed by a court only on the basis of an additional decision issued at the request of the executive service.
  • This restriction is usually applied only in case of evasion of the court decision.
  • If there is a court order prohibiting travel, the person will not be able to cross the state border until the relevant obligations are fulfilled or the order is cancelled.
