Can women registered for military service after 1 October 2023 travel abroad?

Women who registered for military service after 1 October 2023 have the right to travel abroad.

Who is subject to military registration from 1 October 2023:

• Women who are fit for military service for health reasons and age, who have graduated from vocational, professional pre-university or higher education institutions and have obtained a medical or pharmaceutical specialty.
• Women with a specialty or profession related to medicine or pharmacy may register for military service at their own request.

Traveling abroad:

• Starting from 1 October 2023 women's military registration does not restrict their right to travel abroad.
• Women liable for military service may leave the territory of Ukraine without special restrictions.

Exceptions for certain positions:

• Women working in positions in state or local government (judges, prosecutors, deputies of local councils) can only travel abroad:
• On official business trips.
• To visit minor children who are abroad.
• To accompany children when they travel abroad.
