Can a child’s biological grandparents act as a “municipal nanny”?

Share

No. Currently, a municipal nanny cannot be a first-degree relative of the service applicant. This includes the child’s biological grandparents and adult children. In addition, state-owned and municipal preschool educational institutions cannot act as a municipal nanny.

A municipal nanny may be:

  • an individual entrepreneur (KVED 97.00 and/or KVED 88.91), who may provide care for no more than three children at the same time, from one or different families,
  • a legal entity (KVED 78.20 and/or KVED 85.10), which may provide care for no more than six children at the same time, from one or different families.
