Iryna* – a woman with a disability, who, due to the full-scale invasion, was forced to leave Kharkiv and move to Radekhiv, Lviv region. Since 2021, she was entitled to receive social assistance for persons with disabilities under a court decision and an open enforcement proceeding.
After the forced relocation, Iryna lost contact with the state bailiff. For several years she did not receive any information about the progress of the case or the payments. This became a serious problem, as due to relocation and settling in a new place, Iryna had significant financial expenses and was in critical need of social assistance.
In May 2025, Iryna turned to lawyer Andriy from the NGO "LMC". He prepared an official request to the Kharkiv State Enforcement Service Department demanding full information about the status of the enforcement proceeding and the actions taken.
As a result, a detailed response was received: confirmation of the transfer of part of the funds to Iryna’s updated bank account details. This allowed Iryna to restore her violated rights. The lawyer continues to support the case so that Iryna can receive the remaining payments.
NGO "LMC" provides free legal aid to people affected by the war in cooperation with the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) through the Consortium led by the Danish Red Cross and Dignity, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
