Orest had been living in a house for more than thirty years, the ownership of which was not properly registered. Now, thanks to the help of a lawyer from the Western Interregional Center for Free Legal Aid, the man can freely dispose of his house.

The man built the house back in 1991, but did not complete the privatization process. The lawyer helped Orest collect the necessary documents, including an extract from the state land cadastre, a new technical passport for the house and a certificate from the Bureau of Technical Inventory stating that he had no certificate of ownership of the house, at the Administrative Services Center. Subsequently, the man received an extract from the State Register of Real Property Rights confirming his ownership.

The Western Interregional Center for Free Legal Aid provides free legal aid in cooperation with DRC thanks to funding from the European Union's civil protection and humanitarian assistance.
