Lawyer helped a beneficiary to register ownership of real estate

When Viktor was a child, his mother died. After the death of his closest person, he was left with a house, to which he cannot register his inheritance rights due to the lack of title documents for the property.

The man turned to a lawyer at the Kovel Community Law Center, which is supported by DRC. She processed the documents available to Mr. Viktor and prepared requests for the necessary documents to the local government and the Bureau of Technical Inventory. Having received the necessary evidence, the lawyer prepared a statement of claim for recognition of ownership of the real estate by way of inheritance after the death of Mr. Viktor's mother.

By the decision of the Starovyzhiv District Court of Volyn Region in case No. 168/140/24, the claim was fully satisfied, and in April Mr. Viktor managed to register his ownership of the real estate - a residential building that remained after his mother's death.

Free legal aid is provided by the Western Interregional Center for Free Legal Aid in cooperation with the Danish Refugee Council with funding from the European Union's civil protection and humanitarian aid.
