How do I register as an IDP (get a certificate of registration of an internally displaced person)?

Required documents and procedure:

1. Fill out an application for IDP registration.

2. Attach one of the identity documents:

● Passport of a citizen of Ukraine or other document proving identity and citizenship.

● An identity document with a special status (permanent residence permit, etc.).

● A child's birth certificate.

● E-passport or e-passport for traveling abroad.

● Certificate of submission of documents for issuance of a passport.

● EDocument.

3. Provide proof of registered residence (if the identity documents do not contain such data):

● A military ID, employment record book, property ownership document, education document, medical documents, or other documents confirming the place of residence.

4. Submitting an application and documents:

● Submit the application together with the documents to the structural unit of social protection of the population, the executive body of the village, town, city council, administrative service center, or through the Diia portal.

5. Obtaining a certificate:

● The certificate is issued free of charge on the day of application, as a general rule, or within 15 business days if additional proof of residence is required.
