How to register a separate subdivision of a foreign non-governmental organization?

In order to register a separate subdivision of a foreign non-governmental organization in Ukraine, the following procedure must be followed:

1. Preparation of the necessary documents:

• Application for state registration of a separate subdivision of a foreign non-governmental organization (Form 7).
• A copy of the document confirming the registration of the foreign non-governmental organization in the country of origin (for example, a certificate or an extract).
• A copy of the constituent documents of the foreign non-governmental organization (e.g., charter or regulations).
• Decision of the authorized body of the foreign non-governmental organization on the establishment of a separate subdivision and appointment of its head.
• A power of attorney in the name of the head of the separate subdivision, issued in accordance with the legislation of the country in which it was issued, for the submission of documents.
• Document on payment of the administrative fee. As of 2024, the amount of the fee is 0.28 of the subsistence minimum for able-bodied persons.
• For an individual resident of Ukraine:
• A copy of the passport of a citizen of Ukraine or other identity document.
• Registration number of the taxpayer's account card (identification code).
• For a foreign individual:
• A notarized copy of the passport with an official translation into Ukrainian.
• A copy of the registration number of the taxpayer's account card (identification code) obtained in Ukraine.

2. Legalization and translation of documents:

• Documents issued abroad must be legalized or apostilled in accordance with international treaties of Ukraine.
• Provide a notarized translation of documents into Ukrainian.

3. Submission of documents:

• Prepare two copies of each document: one for submission to the registration authority and one for storage in a separate unit.
• Submit the package of documents to the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine or to the relevant state registration authority.

4. Obtain a decision on accreditation:

• After checking the submitted documents, you will receive a decision on accreditation of a separate subdivision of a foreign non-governmental organization.

5. Further steps:

• Open a bank account for the separate subdivision.
• If necessary, obtain a seal.
• Register with the tax authorities as a taxpayer.
