How can an IDP register a car?

Share

An IDP registers a car in the general procedure.

To register a car, an IDP must apply to the service centre of the Ministry of Internal Affairs service or the centre for administrative services, regardless of the declared or registered place of residence.

The IDP must provide, in particular, the following documents:

  • application. The application can be filled out on the spot at the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs or the centre for administrative services;
  • an identity document (passport, e-document during the period of martial law);
  • IDP certificate;
  • identification code;
  • power of attorney (if documents are submitted by a representative);
  • a document confirming the legitimacy of the purchase, receipt, importation, customs clearance of the vehicle (e.g., a purchase and sale agreement, customs declaration, etc);
  • a document confirming the compliance of the vehicle design with the established road safety requirements (for initial registration or re-registration in connection with the installation of gas cylinder equipment on the vehicle);
  • a document stating the cost of the vehicle;
  • technical passport (if available and license plates); and
  • receipt of payment of the administrative fee.

The service is provided within 1 business day. Upon completion of the car registration, the IDP will receive a vehicle registration certificate and, if necessary, license plates.
